From September 14 to 20, Medellín offers another exciting week of culture and entertainment. Literature remains at the center of the city's agenda with the final days of the Book and Culture Festival, while theaters and venues across Medellín host live music, international performances, and special events throughout the Love and Friendship weekend.
20th Medellín Book and Culture Festival
The Medellín Book and Culture Festival continues throughout the week before its grand finale on Sunday, September 20. Celebrating its 20th edition, the festival features more than 3,600 activities, nearly 400 guests and 184 exhibitors, combining literature, film, live music, exhibitions, workshops, and conversations with Colombian and international authors. Its scale and cultural significance make it one of Medellín's most important events of September.

MedeJazz 2026 – 30 Years of Jazz & World Music
The Medellín International Jazz & World Music Festival – MedeJazz continues this week as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. From September 15 to 19, visitors can enjoy a series of free concerts as part of Medellín's Book and Culture Festival, featuring SH Jazz Project, Faríbula, Kanajazz, Claudia Gómez, JS Ramírez Latin Jazz Quinteto, MCO/Mythos, and Shades of Blues. With several performances scheduled throughout the week, MedeJazz offers an excellent opportunity to experience live jazz and world music within one of Medellín's largest cultural celebrations.

Great Chinese Circus: The Last Dragon
The Great Chinese Circus arrives in Medellín with The Last Dragon, a major production by the renowned China National Acrobatic Troupe combining world-class acrobatics, Chinese tradition, and spectacular theatrical staging. The show features balance, contortion, and highly technical performances by some of China's leading circus artists. As an international production with a special Medellín performance, it stands out as one of the week's most distinctive events.

Ed Maverick – Live in Medellín
