From September 7 to 13, Medellín showcases the diversity of its cultural calendar. Centro de Convenciones Plaza Mayor hosts La Feria de Diseño 2026, one of Colombia's major gatherings for design, architecture, interiors, and creative industries. Meanwhile, the 25th Medellín International Choir Festival brings together 37 ensembles and more than 1,000 singers from several countries.
The weekend also marks the beginning of the Medellín Book and Culture Festival, alongside experiences such as Vino al Parque, creating a week filled with design, literature, live music, gastronomy, and culture.

La Feria De Diseño Medellín returns for its 13th edition, turning Medellín into a major meeting point for the design industry in Latin America and the Caribbean. Over three days, the event brings together more than 280 Colombian and international brands, alongside architects, designers, buyers, and industry professionals. Visitors can explore furniture, lighting, interiors, and architecture while enjoying conferences, exhibitions, food experiences, international business meetings, and more than 35 satellite events throughout the city.

20th Medellín Book and Culture Festival
The Medellín Book and Culture Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026 with a special edition themed “Travesías de la lectura” (Journeys Through Reading). The festival features around 3,600 activities, 269 participating organizations and 162 exhibitors, combining author talks, book launches, workshops, exhibitions, film, live music, theater, and family experiences. South Korea is this year's guest country of honor, while acclaimed Romanian writer Mircea Cărtărescu is among the major international guests. The first three days of the festival—September 11, 12 and 13—fall within this week's calendar.

25th Medellín International Choir Festival “José María Bravo Márquez”
The Medellín International Choir Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with a special edition under the theme “Demuestra humanidad” (“Show Humanity”). Over six days, 37 ensembles and more than 1,000 singers from Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela and the Czech Republic take part in 31 concerts and 8 workshops across churches, museums, universities and cultural venues in Medellín and Antioquia. The festival concludes with a major closing concert at Teatro Metropolitano, making it one of the week's most significant musical and cultural events.

Vino al Parque Medellín 2026
Vino al Parque returns to Medellín for three days combining wine, live music, food, and social experiences. The festival features more than 1,100 wine labels, over 120 wines available by the glass, more than 15 local bands and artists, DJ sets, brand experiences, guided tastings, and over 15 food concepts. The Medellín edition has limited capacity, is pet friendly, and is exclusively for guests aged 18 and over.
