A boutique hotel born out of love for Medellín
All companies are made up of people, and Sloh Hotel & Bar is no exception. Our project was born out of a deep love for Medellín and a desire to contribute to its growth from a sector we know well and value: tourism.
From the beginning, we saw the Manila neighborhood in El Poblado as the perfect place to realize a dream: to create a boutique hotel in Medellín that would be much more than a place to rest, a place where every visitor would find joy, calm, and a true sense of belonging.
But our path was not linear. In the process, we underwent profound transformations that forced us to rethink what we were doing and reinvent ourselves with all our strength.
The inspiration behind Sloh
Life's circumstances led us to set our eyes and hearts on Salomón Ochoa Betancourt, a special person who was with us during the best years of our lives but who left us too soon. His absence became a presence stronger than ever, and we understood that we had to hold on to what he had taught us.
Salomón never pretended to be enlightened. Through his example, he showed us how to live with consistency and dignity, and taught us that true happiness lies in simplicity, in the essentials, and that it does not depend on external circumstances, but on the daily decision to embrace life with fullness and hope.
That legacy left its mark on us. And today, Sloh is a tribute to everything we learned from him.
