Munayki Sloh at Medellín Gourmet: a Peruvian experience to share in Manila

Munayki Sloh at Medellín Gourmet: a Peruvian experience to share in Manila

Travel is also about sitting down at the table. Many cities are remembered through a dish, an unexpected flavor or a dinner that becomes one of the best moments of the trip. Medellín Gourmet is built around that idea: discovering the city through its restaurants and using a special season to explore different culinary proposals.

One of those experiences is Munayki Sloh Cocina Peruana, located inside Sloh Hotel & Bar in Manila, El Poblado. Its Medellín Gourmet menu brings together Peruvian and Nikkei flavors in a proposal for two, with several options that allow each table to build its own experience.

The menu begins with three starter choices. The chicken causa limeña combines potato, yellow chili and lemon with chicken, avocado, tomato and egg. The bicolor tiradito features thin slices of fish with yellow chili and rocoto creams, while the Spicy Sushi combines salmon, cucumber and avocado with spicy sauce and crispy sweet potato.

For the main course, guests can choose between Pasta Munayki with shrimp, served with a creamy sauce, mushrooms and bacon; Trilogía Saltada, with beef tenderloin, shrimp and chicken served with onions, tomato, cilantro, fries and rice; or Teriyaki Salmon, served over mashed potatoes with a fresh salad.

Dessert keeps the Peruvian spirit alive. The options include a lemon turrón, made with three milks, cookie crumble, lemon and almonds, or the traditional suspiro limeño, prepared with a soft caramel cream, cinnamon and whipped cream.

What makes the experience especially appealing is how easily it can become part of a full afternoon or evening in Manila. The neighborhood works well for walking, having coffee, meeting friends or simply spending a relaxed afternoon without leaving El Poblado.

For travelers, it is also an opportunity to discover Medellín through its increasingly diverse food scene. The city is no longer defined only by traditional Antioquian cuisine. Peruvian, Asian, Mediterranean and fusion concepts are now part of its restaurant culture, and Munayki fits naturally into that evolution.

During Medellín Gourmet, the menu for two is listed at COP 159,000, with a previous value of COP 242,200, and allows guests to choose among several starters, main courses and desserts.

Munayki Sloh is located at Calle 12 #43D-114, Sloh Hotel & Bar, Manila, El Poblado. According to the official listing, service runs from noon to 11:00 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 10:00 p.m. from Sunday through Wednesday.

Medellín Gourmet offers a different way to experience the city: through the table. At Munayki Sloh, that experience comes with Peruvian flavors, Nikkei influences and a setting in one of El Poblado’s most walkable neighborhoods.
